Walfischhaus in Born

A nice evening with great food in a very nice atmosphere, friendly service.

On a sunny autumn day I got a seat on the terrace with a wonderful view of the port of Born. The service was very attentive and friendly despite the high number of guests. The menu with flair and variety. The food itself was very tasty, fresh and well presented. The price is absolutely justified here. We recommend!

We had reserved in advance by email. There were two of us registered with a baby in a stroller. The reservation was confirmed to us and we felt very comfortable in our cozy place right by the fireplace. The service was extremely friendly, our requests were willingly taken care of. The starters and the main courses left nothing to be desired. We were super satisfied and would love to come back!

Good selection of food and drinks. Medium price level

We would have loved to have eaten here, but we were a few minutes early. Despite the rain and the baby in the stroller, we were made to understand in an unfriendly way that we were not allowed in before 12. Bad luck.

Ate well and we were served quickly, if not particularly friendly. Kindly we got a table for the first hour inside at 4:45 p.m. because it threatened to rain outside. After the main course it was 5:30 p.m. and we wanted to order the delightful dessert for 8.00, but we wanted to point out that it was already 5:30 p.m. Immediately came the statement “the colleague said yes; that doesn't work ”, although we just wanted to explain. Basically ok, but on the one hand we would have gone out, on the other hand the bar was still 80-90% empty and on the third the 15 minutes for dessert might have been enough. We didn't get anything and had to leave. That was a bit strange and strange, although we were of course informed about the reservations.

The Walfichhaus is in Born a.Darss There you can have lunch very well or coffee and cake very well.

The older lady from the service was an impertinence. We sat for 45 minutes until we were even allowed to order. The soup was totally forgotten when there was finally something, completely inflexible when ordering, a meal was brought wrong! The two younger ladies from the service were great !!!!!!

The restaurant is great! Very tasty and high quality. And that with such a great location on the bay. It can cost a little more ... It's just a shame that - especially in good weather - there can be a lot going on and it will then be difficult to get a seat outside or inside. And unfortunately no tables can be reserved outside.

A place of rest, simply but beautifully located, extensive menu and very importantly a service team that tries everything to fulfill every wish, we are already the 5. Time there and will continue to book it, also recommended in terms of price

We were in Prerow for my wife's birthday and received a recommendation to go to the whale house. You have to be aware that it can be very busy there, so please reserve. The food was very good, my wife had fish, I had meat, went great and you definitely got full. The service was just great, nice, funny, friendly and really tried very hard. The ambience with a view of the bay was also great. All in all, we are happy to award 5 stars, an extra star for the great service on this beautiful evening :-)

Excellent organic cuisine - highly recommended. A culinary delicacy: Zander fillet on sauerkraut! As unusual as the composition, the taste is so ingenious. The selection of food and ingredient suppliers shows that they work with a great deal of culinary wisdom and love for their guests. The service is excellent and very friendly.

Nice place at the harbor to look, to sit, a little drink and food, especially the Pomeranian roast pork and the salad with goat cheese are highly recommended. Unobtrusive operation. All good.
